Crafting Stamina beginner guide: costs, recovery and batch sizes

Find the Stamina cost on a recipe, calculate a sensible crafting batch and distinguish resource shortages from recipe and ingredient requirements.

The quick answer

Crafting Stamina pays for activities such as cooking, medicine and talismans. It recovers 450 points at the daily reset and stores up to 2,500. This is a separate pool from the Energy used to claim challenge rewards and the Endurance used during combat.

Read Stamina on the recipe you want to craft

Open Bag → Craft and choose the relevant recipe. Inspect its requirements and the cost for the selected quantity. Stamina matters only if that craft asks for it; a locked recipe or missing ingredient is a separate blocker.

  1. Select one recipe you have learned or inspect its unlock requirement.
  2. Set a small craft quantity so the costs are easy to understand.
  3. Compare the output count with the number of crafts.
  4. Check the ingredients and any Stamina cost.
  5. Craft the intended batch and verify the resulting items in the Bag.

Do not use Maximum until you know which resource limits the batch and what you intend to use the items for. The button calculates what is possible, not what is useful.

Identify the pool you are missing

ResourceWhere it mattersWhat spending it does
Crafting StaminaCrafting recipe and quantity panelProduces consumables and other crafted items.
EnergyEligible challenge reward claimsPays for the associated reward claim.
EnduranceMoment-to-moment combat and movementSupports actions such as dodging and attacks.

A grey craft button is not necessarily a Stamina problem. Inspect the recipe level, ingredient quantity and output amount as well. Lowering the batch size can reveal whether the missing requirement is the pool or a material.

Plan around a daily grant

The documented recovery is a daily addition, not a complete refill. Use the reset shown by your server rather than converting a guide’s local clock time. Recovery also stops at the storage cap; a nearly full pool cannot hold an entire extra day’s grant.

Worked example: if you have 2,300 Stamina and spend none before a 450-point reset, the 2,500 cap leaves room for only 200. Spending 250 before that reset creates enough room for the full grant. This illustrates the cap; it is not a reason to craft items you cannot use.

Set a small crafting budget

  • Reserve the amount needed for your next useful medicine or food batch.
  • Check any profession task you intend to complete and its exact recipe.
  • Craft those items before optional stockpiles.
  • Recheck the remaining pool before using a maximum-quantity button.

Our recommendation is to plan from the recipe backwards. If a recipe costs 5 Stamina and you need 12 crafts, reserve 60. Use the actual per-craft cost on your screen: a batch may produce more than one item, so item count and craft count are not always equal.

What to do when the pool is empty

Continue gathering the ingredients and learning the recipes you need, then return after the daily recovery. Open-world exploration is not globally locked because you cannot craft another batch. If a required finished item is sold by an unlocked vendor, compare that price with waiting; buying ingredients alone will not refill Stamina.

Do not spend an Energy refill expecting it to solve a crafting limit. Read the item’s named resource before using it.

A worked example: output count is not craft count

Imagine a recipe produces two items per craft and charges five Stamina per craft. If you want ten items, you need five crafts, costing twenty-five Stamina. Ten crafts would produce twenty items and cost fifty. These are illustrative numbers; use the recipe’s actual output and cost.

Make the same distinction for ingredients. A recipe preview may show the cost for your selected batch rather than one item. Read the quantity labels before deciding how much gathering is necessary.

Keep enough budget for supplies you actually use

Before an optional batch, check your next practical need: medicine for a boss, food for an outing or a specific career craft. Reserve that amount first. Then decide whether using the remaining pool improves something you plan to do.

If recovery would overflow, a useful supply batch can make room. But spending Coins and ingredients on unwanted products just to prevent overflow can be a worse trade than leaving the pool full. A cap is information, not an obligation to manufacture stock.

Common questions

Does the daily reset refill Stamina to maximum?

No. It adds 450 points, limited by the 2,500 storage cap.

Will an Energy refill let me cook again?

Energy and crafting Stamina are separate. Check the resource named on the refill item.
