Find your medicine and read the two quantities
Open Bag → Develop → Quick Use → Medicine. Inspect the selected medicine, the charges carried now and the reserve stock you own. A reserve item is not the same thing as a ready charge, and the Medicine Chest’s development is a third question.

Read the upgrade benefit itself: making your reserves larger, increasing carried capacity and improving healing strength are not interchangeable actions.
Hand in Medicinal Tales at Evercare Clinic
- Travel to Evercare Clinic in Qinghe near Still Shore.
- Speak with Yao Yaoyao at the clinic entrance.
- Choose the option to submit Medicinal Tales or upgrade the Medicine Chest.
- Inspect the next rank’s requirement and benefit.
- Submit the required Tales and check the resulting capacity or healing improvement.
Clinic treatment and Medicine Chest development are separate options. Paying to remove an illness does not automatically improve the amount your combat medicine restores.
Look for Tales in first-clear rewards
Medicinal Tales appear among rewards for substantial quests, campaign content and world bosses. Inspect the activity’s first-clear reward panel before committing to another attempt. A boss you have already cleared may not repeat its one-time Tales reward.
For a useful next objective, choose an unfinished fight or quest that you can reasonably complete and whose reward panel includes the material. This makes medicine development part of normal progression instead of an assumed repeatable farm.
Check reserve stock when a Boundary Stone gives nothing
The charges available during combat are backed by medicine items in your bag. If the reserve is empty, returning to a Boundary Stone cannot create an unlimited new supply. Inspect the medicine selected in your quick-use slot and its stock.

Buy or craft the medicine you actually equipped
Crafting zones in settlements such as Heaven’s Pier and Harvestfall Village include medicine facilities. Basic Hemostatic Powder uses herbs and meat scraps with crafting Stamina; inspect the recipe’s displayed quantities before producing a batch. Merchants can provide an immediate supply as well.
After restocking, confirm the medicine quick-use slot and visit a Boundary Stone again. Check the ready charges before re-entering the boss arena. That small inventory check prevents losing an attempt to an empty supply.
If you use a different medicine type, restock that item rather than assuming any healing item in the bag will refill the selected slot.
Restock from empty to ready for another attempt
- Check which medicine is selected and whether its reserve is empty.
- Inspect that item’s How to Obtain entry, or use Bag → Craft → Brew Medicine for an available recipe.
- Buy or craft the selected medicine in a quantity you intend to use.
- Return to Quick Use and confirm the correct item is selected.
- Visit an activated Boundary Stone with the reserve available.
- Check the carried charges before entering the encounter again.
If you crafted a different medicine, inspect whether it should be selected instead. A bag containing healing items is not enough information to explain a refill failure; the active medicine type matters.
A worked example: full reserve, repeated deaths
Suppose you enter with ready medicine but every healing attempt is interrupted. Buying a larger reserve may let you attempt the fight again, but it does not create a safe healing window. Learn which enemy recovery gives you time to use the charge, and avoid waiting until the next hit is already in flight.
If the window is safe but the amount restored is inadequate for the encounter, inspect medicine development and your broader survival setup. If an illness icon remains after HP is restored, follow illness treatment instead of repeatedly consuming combat medicine.
Plan the next Medicine Chest improvement
Visit Yao Yaoyao and inspect the next Medicinal Tales requirement before choosing another activity. Compare the Tales you already own with the remaining cost, then choose an unfinished reward that lists them. Do not assume a first-clear Tales reward is an unlimited repeat farm.
After the hand-in, check the stated benefit and return to the selected medicine panel. Then refill before testing the improvement. Completing the upgrade but entering with empty charges makes it impossible to judge what changed.
Compare healing with damage-risk passives
Invigorated Warrior changes the reward for avoiding hits and the cost of taking them. Read its conditions before relying on a larger heal to offset that tradeoff.
